Welfor Rack -- Pros and Cons of Different Types of Rack in Warehouse Storage
1. Drive in rack
D is the most common and cheapest FILO pallet intensive storage system at present. It is suitable for large quantities of single item goods, and cannot be classified too much. The advantage of this kind of rack system is that the cost of investment is relatively low, but as a result of the need to use a forklift to move into the rack, the depth of the rack is generally not greater than more than 10 pallet depths, which leads to the low efficiency of the access to the goods, and the space utilization rate of the forklift is only due to the limited utilization of the forklift vehicle. There is 60%-75%.
PROS: The structure is simple and the cost is low. Under normal circumstances, the general cost is 200 to 350 RMB, and each pallet stores its location.
CONS: The forklift truck needs to be opened into the rack for internal operation. It has high risk. The operator's view inside the rack is not wide enough and the light is not enough. For the space utilization rate is insufficient, for more than 6 meters, the space cannot work, at the same time, the stability is flawed. At the same time, this rack is limited to the principle of FIFO.
2. Push back rack
The capacity of a dense storage pallet is the same as drive in rack. This kind of design makes the forklift do not have to enter the rack, the goods are placed on the trolley with wheels. The trolley can slide down the rack to the pickup port on the basis of its gravity. The utilization rate of the rack system is only around 60%.
PROS: The connection between upright is connected by beams which increases the stability of upright, thus avoiding the risk of running through racks.
CONS: The cost is increased to 800-1000 RMB per storage location and the general single side storage cannot exceed 5 pallet locations. Its limitation and the height limit of forklift truck are also limited by the FIFO.
3. Mobile rack
Mobile rack can be divided into light and medium duty and heavy duty mobile rack. The mobile rack is made up of rack, guide rail and rack motion system. The light and medium duty mobile rack is evolved from medium storage rack or light storage rack. It only needs one aisle which is compact, beautiful and practical. It has good sealing performance and is safe and reliable.
PROS: Only one operation aisle is needed, which can greatly improve the utilization rate of warehouse area, which can achieve over 70%.
CONS: The frequency of warehousing is low, and the time needed to access goods is longer. Due to the limitation of its design, it is difficult to reach the height of more than 12 meters.
4. ASRS
ASRS is to make use of the collaboration of automatic storage equipment and computer management system to realize the high level rationalization of the warehouse, the automation of access, and the simple operation. The automatic warehouse is composed of the shelf, the roadway type stacking crane (stacker), the working platform of the entry (out) warehouse, the control system and the management system. Combined with different types of warehouse management software, graphic monitoring and scheduling software, bar code identification and tracking system, handling robot, AGV, cargo sorting system, stacker identification system, stacker control system, cargo position detector and so on, the single machine manual, single machine automatic, on-line control and connection in the three-dimensional warehouse can be realized. A variety of three-dimensional warehouse operation mode, such as net control, has realized the three-dimensional storage, automatic access and standardized management of warehouse goods, which can greatly reduce the cost of storage and transportation, reduce labor intensity and improve the utilization rate of warehouse space.
PROS: High speed and high density storage can be realized.
CONS: Large one-time investment, high demand for the warehouse.
5. Radio shuttle system
Radio shuttle system consists of three parts: shuttle vehicle, rack and forklift truck. The shuttle vehicle is on the track below the pallet. It can run on the pallet, store the goods on the pallet to the cargo location or remove it from the cargo location. The highest density of pallet cargo is stored, which significantly reduces the cost of storehouse construction. At the same time, the advanced first out of the goods, the advanced post can be freely selected, remote control operation, no need to enter, high efficiency in import and export, the anti-earthquake safety performance is greatly higher than drive in rack. Compare with the drive in rack and push back rack, the comprehensive cost is lower. Its shortcomings are limited to the height of forklift trucks, and the space utilization rate is slightly inadequate.
At the same time, the shuttle rack system is a semi-automatic storage warehouse. The demand for manual coordination is very low. At the same time, we use the advanced stacker and shuttle vehicle to communicate with each other.
